Wine Filtration

For 30 years Separation Technologies has made a specialty of wine filtration and top of the bottle solutions.

Wine & Modern Filtration

Among all the beverages, wine potentially benefits the most from modern filtration. It is critical for not only the appearance but also the stability of the final product as it allows the removal of fermentation products and microbial content while leaving flavor components and color unchanged.

Wine production requires a range of filtration technologies to manage microbial contamination during the fermentation process, capture DE or fining agents from upstream processing, manage air quality in production and holding tanks, provide ultra-clean water for rinsing, cleaning and sanitizing, and even filter particulate to protect other membrane filters prior to bottling.

Whether your winery uses plate filtration, cartridge filtration or lenticular filtration, Separation Technologies can help you maximize your results and improve your profit margins. Or if your winery is just starting out, our experienced staff can help you navigate your choices for intelligent planning through your initial stages of production.

Ztec filter

ZtecWB Filter Cartridge

Pleated Polyethersulfone Membrane for 99.99999999% absolute filtration. High log reduction values, high capacity contaminant loading, low adsorption of protein, color and flavor components. Manufactured in ISO Class 7 Cleanroom environment, 100% flushed with ultrapure DI water and integrity tested. Intended for critical stabilizing beverage final filtration.

Becopad

Becopad Filter Pad

Begerow offers a hybrid filter pad called Becopad that is actually reusable. Made from 100% Cellulose, their unique durability relies on a manufacturing method that results in a graded density matrix. These filter pads can be back-flushed, sterilized and re-used for continuous batches. They set up in the press quickly and run about 20% faster than conventional pads. In most cases leakage is reduced as well.

ErtelAlsop Filter Pad

ErtelAlsop Filter Pad

ErtelAlsop has been manufacturing critical process filtration media in the US for almost 100 years. We stock their 40cm filter pads here in the Midwest for immediate shipment. Perfect for wine and very af-fordable, these Cellulose filters are available in all grades and employ DE and wet strength resins for improved retention efficiencies by adding internal surface area and the positive charge known as Zeta-Potential. There is no better priced, better performing filter pad on the market.
