Through Separation Products Inc, Separation Technologies provides modular ultrafiltration spiral modules and custom configured systems specifically designed for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and specialty chemical industries where clarification, filtration, sterilization and ultrafiltration are used in highly critical applications. Membranes are cast on a polypropylene or polyester backing with a specialty adhesive, all materials of construction have passed USPXXII Class 6 testing and all systems are 316L Stainless.

These spiral UF modules are a unique full-fit design that eliminates the need for a U-cup type seal results in low hold-up volumes and maximizes the effective membrane area for a cost effective solution from small to very large volume requirements. The media features a wide range of chemical compatibility (1000-100,000kd) and Molecular Weight Cut-Off (MWCO) for ultrafiltration and nanofiltration applications. They range from 300-500, 1000, 4000, 5000 8000, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 50,000, and 100,000 MWCO in several different polymeric formulations.

These systems offer up to 500 sqft surface area modules, excellent cleanability, self-draining, low priming volume, on small-footprint portable skids, with specifiable degrees of automation and components. A custom configured spiral membrane system from Separation Technologies and Separation Products will very likely improve flux, pressure, hold-up volume, solvent compatibility issues, cleaning, power, pumping, filter life and cost per square foot over competitive solutions.
